Peppol connects companies through a network of certified service providers.
Every company can send and receive messages in the Peppol network via the service provider of their choice.
Peppol
- Peppol began in 2008 as a large-scale pilot project funded by the European Commission and project consortium members
- The aim of the project was to enable frictionless trade between public and private entities - and ultimately increase efficiency while promoting healthy competition
- In order to achieve these goals, the Peppol Business Interoperability Specifications (Peppol BIS) were developed, which standardize the exchange of common message types, such as orders and invoices.
- The exchange of these messages takes place in the secure and open Peppol network
Four-corner model
- At the heart of Peppol is a four-corner model that allows buyers and suppliers to connect through any Peppol-certified service provider
OpenPeppol
- OpenPeppol consists of members from both the public and private sectors and is responsible for developing, implementing and updating the Peppol specifications
Access point provider
- As a certified service provider, we provide our customers with a Peppol access point and thus the opportunity to exchange messages within the Peppol network
- You do not have to establish a connection to Peppol yourself or implement the specified standards
- If you are already connected to our platform, you can quickly access the Peppol network like any other connected business partner
